What Is the HUXWRX TORQUE LOCK® System? A Suppressor Mount Overview

The HUXWRX TORQUE LOCK® mounting system is featured on most modern HUXWRX rifle suppressors—excluding HUB-compatible models like the Ventum 556 and Ventum 762. HUXWRX also offers this mounting system as a standalone HUB adapter, allowing users to retrofit it onto non-HUXWRX HUB suppressors. While not always publicly referred to by the trademarked name “TORQUE LOCK®” the system is often simply referred to as the “HUXWRX Mounting System”.

This system uses left-hand threads and a taper to create a tight, carbon-sealing interface between the suppressor and muzzle device. A key feature of TORQUE LOCK® is the use of angled ports on compatible muzzle devices which, when paired with a HUXWRX suppressor, generate rotational force as the rifle is fired. This self-tightening effect enhances lockup and further seals the suppressor to the mount as you shoot. The result is a robust, tool-free QD system without the need for mechanical locks or latches.

Suppressor-to-muzzle device compatibility is caliber dependent. A 5.56 HUXWRX muzzle device can be used with a 7.62 HUXWRX suppressor, but not the other way around—a 7.62 muzzle device will not fit into a 5.56 suppressor. Always ensure your suppressor and muzzle device are properly matched, and use an alignment rod to double-check bore clearance before use.
