VCH Ambidextrous AR-15 Charging Handle
An ambidextrous charging handle built around a patented design that changes where the load goes when you pull it. Forged 7075-T6 body with an extruded latch.
Where the Force Goes
On a standard charging handle, pulling from one side loads the latch's roll pin. That pin is small, and it is the part that fails.
The VCH redirects that force off the roll pin and into the body of the charging handle itself. The result is a handle less prone to roll pin or latch breakage, which matters most during support hand only manipulations where all the load goes through one side.
The design has been in service for over a decade, domestically and abroad.
Running an Ambi Handle
An ambidextrous charging handle puts your knuckle and fingernail in the path of a standard forward assist when you pull the right side latch. The FCD LDFA and the Hodge LSFA are both built to solve exactly that.
