CASV Midlength Handguard - MLOK
Like all CASV systems, the CASV-M-2 relies on “piggy-back” mounting to the top of a “flat-top” M4 or M16A4 upper receiver. This chassis features a removable lower handguard, which allows the access of an M203 grenade launcher. The smooth body construction allows multiple rail mounting points, adaptable to any mission needs. The CASV-M Kit comes with one top filler rail section and hardware.
The CASV-M-2 is designed to accommodate a mid-length gas system rifle as a drop-in replacement handguard. Taking from the same battle proven design as the CASV-EL-2, the new CASV-M-2 is extended to fit the common mid-length or 9” handguard design.
The CASV-M-2 features a removable lower handguard section and removable rail sections. The area forward of the top rail can be filled with a short rail to mount any same plane front flip iron sight .
Like all CASVs, the CASV-M-2 relies on the use of the Delta Ring for a more secure mounting point. Vltor does not recommend that any CASV handguard be used without the standard Delta Ring assembly.
This CASV chassis is made entirely of aluminum with exception to the stainless steel mounting hardware. After mounted, the CASV-M-2 adds less than 1lb (14.5 oz) to the firearm’s overall weight and features a QD sling swivel socket on the left and right sides.
