CASV-M-2 Midlength M-LOK Handguard
A drop-in replacement handguard for midlength gas rifles that mounts to the existing delta ring. No barrel nut swap, no gunsmithing. Available in anodized black or OD green.
Why the CASV Exists
The CASV was designed in the early 2000s for military users who had rifles with standard delta ring assemblies and flat top receivers, and needed accessory mounting without rebuilding the front end.
It piggy-backs onto the top of a flat top M4 or M16A4 upper and locks to the delta ring, giving you far more stability and support than a factory handguard along with somewhere to put lights and accessories.
The Continuous Top Rail
The top rail runs unbroken from the receiver forward, which also raises the mounting plane. That means you can run a standard height optic mount and get a sight height that would otherwise require a taller mount or riser.
The area forward of the top rail can be filled with the included short rail section to mount a same plane front flip sight.
Removable Lower
The lower handguard section comes off, which is what allows an M203 to be mounted. Rail sections are removable as well, so you configure only what you need.
QD sling swivel sockets are built into both the left and right sides.
Which CASV Do You Need?
- CASV-M-2, midlength — this one, sized to a common 9 inch midlength gas setup
- CASV-M-2E, midlength extended — the same handguard extended to 10 inches
- CASV-EL-2, carbine extended — for carbine gas rifles with a fixed front sight tower, common on 10.5, 14.5, and some 16 inch barrels
Before You Order
The CASV is sold as a handguard only. It does not include a barrel nut or delta ring, because it was designed as a drop-in for rifles that already have them.
A delta ring is required. VLTOR does not recommend running any CASV without a standard delta ring assembly. If you need one, we stock the DS Arms enhanced delta ring kit and a TDP spec barrel nut. Any standard delta ring will work.
