FAST™ Micro-SB Mount
The FAST™ Micro-SB is specifically designed for the Aimpoint® CompM5s, CompM5b and Duty RDS mini red dot sights and features a built-in, fully adjustable front and rear back-up iron sight.
Designed to bring your Aimpoint Duty RDS, CompM5s and CompM5b to a 2.26" optical centerline height, making them compatible with the Unity FTC Flip-To-Center Magnifier Mounts.
FAST™ is a series of optic mounts and platforms that provide a quicker sight picture than standard height mounts. A 2.26" optical centerline height provides faster reticle acquisition while wearing electronic ear protection, communications headsets, night vision goggles and gas masks, and allows for more rapid visual processing by promoting a heads-up posture. A heads-up posture also helps maintain a neutral spine position, which is more comfortable under a helmet, plate carrier and other heavy gear.
The FAST™ Micro-SB Mount places Aimpoint CompM5s, CompM5b and Duty RDS sights at 2.26" optical centerline above the weapon rail. This stance makes these optics fully compatible with Unity's patented Flip-To-Center Magnifier Mounts and provides the same application benefits found with legacy FAST Mounts.
The FAST™ Micro-SB Mount comes with a standard rail-grabber clamp mount and is designed to readily accept a drop-in American Defense Manufacturing® patented QD Auto-Lock™ Lever, sold separately. This mounting option provides quick detach capability. The Unity proprietary nut is required to prevent damage to the mounting interface.
