What is the TangoDown Severe Duty Battery Cap?

The Severe Duty Battery Cap was designed as a drop in replacement battery cap for the Aimpoint ACRO P2 to improve on the original plastic cap. The cap has an additional slot added and tighter dimensions to better fit the Red T10 bit and battery cap tool that comes with the ACRO P1/P2 & Duty RDS. The Severe Duty Battery cap is precision machined from 6061 Aluminum, Type III Anodized in Black and Bead Blasted to match the finish on the ACRO P2. The very slightly thicker profile of the RBC adds to it's strength, and when used in conjuction with the TangoDown ACRO Lens Guard creates a raised fence over the adjustment controls which mitigated accidental or unintended actuation of either buttons. The Severe Duty Battery cap adds a layer of rigidity to the optic to ensure consistent function in harsh conditions, and provide the end user with an easier method of replacing batteries.
