Extra Power 5-Coil Extractor Spring Upgrade Kit, 3 Pack
Three complete five coil extractor spring kits for AR-15 bolt carrier groups, delivering higher than OEM tension. Each includes a spring, a mil-spec insert, and a Viton O-ring.
Why More Tension
The extractor has to hold the case rim through the entire extraction cycle. On a shorter barrel the pressure is higher when the bolt starts to unlock, and the carrier is moving faster, which gives a factory spring less margin than it has on a 20 inch rifle.
This kit raises extractor tension above OEM to keep that grip on rifles 16 inches and shorter.
Why Three
If you run more than one AR, or you keep spare bolts, the 3 pack costs less per kit than buying singles. It is also the sensible option for anyone maintaining rifles for other people.
Only need one? The single kit is the same components.
The Spring
Chrome silicon wire stock, heat treated, stress relieved, and cryogenically treated. Same material and process as Sprinco's buffer springs.
While you have the bolt apart, gas rings are the other wear item worth replacing at the same time.
