The Winter Lever is slightly wider than the standard giving more surface area for activation especially when using gloves.
The ASF Safety Selectors have very quickly become one of our favorite safety selectors for the AR Platform. The ASF (Ambidextrous Selector, Forward Controls) is meticulously designed with with precision and durability in mind. The levers install in to the center using extremely strong (800LB Shear Strength) Stainless Steel Roll Pins that don't handle any load when installed. FCD Designed the ASF to have virtually no wobble between the levers and center when installed which called for very tight tolerances (+0.001/-0.00) on the center and lever interface. All of the attention to detail in design makes for a durable safety selector that is also buttery smooth in activation with a very positive switch from safe to fire.
Specific to FDE and ODG Models:
Due to the extremely tight tolerances on the ASF Safeties, the centers remain how the standard ASF Safeties come, Billet 8620, Heat Treated and Black Nitride (This is in reference to the visible oval in the center section of the safety that is black)
