RLB Reinforced Locking Bar, Aimpoint ACRO P1 / P2
The RLB is a locking bar, or clamp, for the Aimpoint ACRO P1 and P2. Machined from 4140 steel and zinc phosphate coated. It is immensely strong and a worthwhile upgrade over the factory bar.
Why a Slot Head Screw
The RLB ships with an 18-8 stainless, black oxide coated slot head screw. Forward Controls likes Torx, but most people do not carry a set of Torx bits, and one is rarely around when you need it. A flat screwdriver, a coin, or the rim of a cartridge will tighten or loosen a slot head.
Using it is optional. The RLB works with the Aimpoint supplied T10 screw, and the included slot head screw also works with Aimpoint's factory P1 and P2 locking bar.
Before You Order
Not all ACRO plates are cut to spec. The RLB is designed to work with plates and slides that adhere to the Aimpoint ACRO TDP. Reputable plate manufacturers and factory ACRO cut slides do. Some do not.
FCD has seen plates missing 40 to 45 percent of the dovetail Aimpoint's TDP calls for, with critical dimensions either off or drastically altered. If your plate is out of spec, the RLB cannot fix that. No locking bar can.
Installation
Torque the P1 or P2 locking bar screw to 27 in-lb maximum.
