RHF4 Quad Rail AR-15 Handguard
A lightweight two-piece free float quad rail based on the Centurion C4 system, with Forward Controls' own design input. Available in 9.5, 11.5, and 12.5 inch lengths.
Why a Quad Rail
Forward Controls has been running 1913 rails in four quadrants since the KAC RAS in the early 2000s, and stayed with them through the fashion for slimmer handguards. Quad rails remain the most versatile and rigid way to attach Picatinny accessories.
When installed on the upper receiver, the RHF4 provides a continuous 12 o'clock rail.
Installs on a Standard Barrel Nut
Like the C4, the RHF4 clamps to a standard barrel nut on any AR-15, M4, or M16. That means you can install it on an assembled upper without removing the front sight post or a permanently attached muzzle device.
What FCD Changed
The built-in QD swivel attachment points are gone. Front and rear QD sockets are common, but FCD's position is that where you put a front sling attachment should be your call, not theirs. For a sling point, the FCD RSF-H Picatinny sling mount attaches anywhere on the rail.
Rail numbers are machine engraved, there is a subdued Cygnus on the right side, and KAC rail panel clip cutouts are present front and back.
Covering the Rails
Bare Picatinny is not comfortable to hold for long. The FCD RCP rail covers carry the AA dimpled texture and come in four lengths, so you can cover whatever quadrants you are not using.
Before You Order
The RHF4 is not compatible with BCM MK2 uppers.
