LDFA Low Drag Forward Assist
The LDFA is a rimless, snag free forward assist with a smaller footprint, purpose built for AR-15s and M16s running an ambidextrous charging handle. Available with the AA dimpled surface or serrated.
Why Rimless Matters
A standard forward assist has a rim on the plunger. On a rifle with an ambi charging handle, when you pull the right side latch to load or reload, that rim is exactly where your fingernail or knuckle passes.
The LDFA removes the rim and shrinks the plunger, so the hand and charging handle move rearward without catching. The smaller plunger face does not affect how well the forward assist works.
If you are building around an ambi handle, the FCD ACF is the matching charging handle, with the ACF-L sized for magnified optics.
