JMW Joint Muzzle Device Wrench
A combination wrench with two 3/4 inch heads at different thicknesses. One at 0.23 for A2 spec flats, one at 0.20 for muzzle devices and suppressor mounts with thinner flats.
Why Two Thicknesses
Most armorer's wrenches have a thick 3/4 inch head sized for the A2 compensator. That works on an A2. It does not work on a suppressor mount, where the flats are thinner than A2 spec and sit sandwiched between the barrel and the mounting interface. The wrench cannot find clearance and is too thick for the flats.
Alignment shims make it worse, since some have a slightly larger outer diameter than the barrel. A typical 3/4 inch wrench often cannot be used on these devices at all.
The 0.20 side of the JMW is cut for exactly that: Dead Air Keymo and Key Micro mounts, SOLGW's NOX, Surefire suppressor mounts, and FCD's own 6315KM and 6310KM.
Built for a Torque Wrench
The JMW follows the same compact form factor as the JCW castle nut wrench. No long handle, because it is meant to be driven by a 1/2 inch drive torque wrench rather than swung by hand.
The recommended torque value, 20 to 30 ft-lb, is engraved on the tool.
If you want one tool that handles both muzzle devices and castle nuts, the RD® DPW combines a 3/4 inch muzzle wrench with a 3 lug castle nut wrench.
