GBU Gas Block Utility
A compact fixture for installing and removing gas tube pins on low profile gas blocks, and gas block pins on the barrel. Machined from a solid block of 6061 and anodized light green.
Features
Sizing
The cavity takes gas blocks up to 1.19 inches long. A Crane spec block is 1 inch, so there is room to spare.
The two sides differ. The left accommodates barrels up to 0.855 inches in diameter, the right up to 0.760.
Why Light Green
Colors have a function. A black fixture holding a black gas block on a black barrel makes it hard to see what you are working on. The contrast is the point.
GBU or GPT?
The GPT is the smaller, simpler jig for gas tube pins alone. The GBU is the larger fixture that also handles the gas block pin on the barrel, with the barrel seated in it.
