GBF Gas Block, .750" Journal
The GBF is a 0.750 gas journal low profile gas block, machined from heat treated 4140 bar stock and manganese phosphate coated. It holds tight tolerances to get as much seal as possible out of the design.

The Semi Blind Gas Tube Hole
The gas tube hole is semi blind, with an access port just large enough to pass a 3/32 punch. The point is to keep the gas tube hole as small as possible while still giving you a way to drive out a gas tube that carbon has locked in place.
The feature was suggested by the late Will Larson of Semper Paratus Arms.
Pinning and Set Screws
Bosses on both sides give a gunsmith an easy reference point for pinning the block to the barrel. Both 5/32 x 5/8 and 1/8 x 5/8 pins work.
Set screws are spaced 0.450 inches apart, which matches one of the spacing options on the SLR Rifleworks .750 dimpling jig. Torque the knurled set screws to 25 in-lb. A 3/32 wrench is required, and Rocksett is recommended on the threads.
On Weight
At 1.58 oz the GBF is not a lightweight gas block and was never meant to be. Material was removed where it adds weight without contributing to strength, which is where the sleek profile comes from, but strength and dependability came first.
Installing the gas tube roll pin on a low profile block is easier with a jig. The FCD GPT gas tube pin tool is built for it.
