FORWARD CONTROLS DESIGN
EMR-HC Magazine Release Button
The EMR-HC has a slightly curved button surface shaped to the natural curvature of your finger. That curve, combined with the texture across the face, creates a self centering surface that resists the finger sliding vertically off the button.
Available with either the AA dimpled surface, which gives equal traction from any angle of approach, or continuous horizontal serrations. The texture runs uninterrupted across the full face on both. The taller profile makes it easier to press, sitting 0.04 inches above the factory magazine release button.
Machined from 4140 bar stock and QPQ coated.
Which One Do You Need?
The EMR-HC is recommended for 7.62 and .308 ARs. On those receivers its taller profile does not protrude above the mag release fence, and it lets you run AR-15 and M16 spec mag catches and ambidextrous mag catch releases.
On most forged 5.56 receivers the EMR-HC protrudes 0.08 inches above the mag release fence. Only 0.06 to 0.07 inches of travel is needed to drop a magazine, so it will work, but for a defense or duty 5.56 AR the EMR-H is the better choice at 0.01 inches of protrusion.
