FORWARD CONTROLS DESIGN
EMR-H Magazine Release Button
The EMR-H has a slightly curved button surface shaped to the natural curvature of your finger. That curve, combined with the texture across the face, creates a self centering surface that resists the finger sliding vertically off the button.
Available with either the AA dimpled surface, which gives equal traction from any angle of approach, or horizontal serrations. It uses a mil-spec through hole for the magazine catch's shaft and sits only 0.02 inches taller than the factory button.
Machined from 4140 bar stock and QPQ coated. The 7075 aluminum EMR was replaced by the 4140 steel EMR-H in late 2019, joining the MSQ-H and ESF-H in the H, or heavy, line of components.
Which One Do You Need?
The EMR-H is the one for 5.56 ARs and M16s. When installed it protrudes only about 0.01 inches above the mag release fence on most forged receivers, so it gives you a better surface to press without adding a snag point or risking an unintended release.
If you are building a 7.62 or .308 AR, the taller EMR-HC is the better fit. On those receivers it sits flush with the fence and lets you run AR-15 spec mag catches.
