ASF ODG Ambidextrous Safety Selector

Which ASF Do You Need?
Two choices: throw angle and lever style.
50 degree is a short throw, faster to run and requiring less thumb travel. 90 degree is the conventional rotation most shooters already have trained.
Standard levers sit straight. Q levers are offset, which clears the thumb differently depending on grip and trigger finger placement.
Left Hand Setups
The non-Q levers on the ASF-50 and ASF-90 are interchangeable side to side, so the left hand variants of those will always show as sold out. Buy the standard version and move the levers to whichever side you want.
Q levers are different. They are specific to the standard and left hand versions, so if you want a left handed setup with Q levers, select that variant directly.
About the Finish
The levers are ODG Cerakote. The center stays as the standard ASF does, in billet 8620, heat treated and black nitrided. That is the visible black oval in the center section of the safety, and it is deliberate. The tolerances on the ASF are tight enough that coating the center would change how it fits.
How the Levers Attach
The levers attach to the center via a 420 stainless spring steel roll pin with 800 lb shear strength. The lever to center interface is what carries the load; the pin only holds the two in place.
A design goal was little to no wobble between lever and center, so that interface is held to a tolerance of plus 0.001 and minus 0.000. The result is a selector that is smooth in activation with a positive switch from safe to fire.
Note that the combined tolerance across lever and center can, on rare occasions, produce about 0.002 of movement. That is normal and unavoidable, almost imperceptible, and does not affect function.
