ACF-L (LPVO) Ambidextrous AR15 Charging Handle
The ACF-L (Ambidextrous Charging Handle, LPVO) is the big brother to the venerable ACF, designed specifically around magnified optics. The ACF-L provides a widened T handle giving the user more surface area to grab on to, which is especially helpful with an LPVO or other magnified optic equipped.
Forward Controls Design often produces products in what we consider a “TDP - Enhanced” format; taking the crucial design components and specifications from the TDP and adding user-friendly features without sacrificing durability or reliability, and in many cases building on just that. The ACF & ACF-L fall in to a unique category of aftermarket charging handles where they provide a larger surface area to grab on to, reduce snag points, yet do not add points of failure such as entire pivoting handles which can easily get caught on gear causing the handle to unlock and unintentionally force a rifle out of battery or break during mortaring due to extreme pressure on a small pivot point. The ACF captures the locking latch between the top and bottom of the handle, requiring the user to intentionally unlock the charging handle, rather than making the handle the locking lever itself. The ACF & ACF-L also feature a rounded and swept back angle to the T handle, further reducing the likeliness of snagging on anything.
