ShortStop Picatinny Handstop
The ShortStop for Picatinny rails. A hybrid handstop combining the low drag, no snag profile of a traditional handstop with the frontal surface area normally found only on larger foregrips. Available in black, and in FDE and ODG Cerakote.
The Directional Texture
Most handstop textures work in every direction, which means they resist your hand moving even when you want it to. The ShortStop's front texture is directional, and it is the first of its kind.
It locks your hand in when you apply rearward or downward pressure, which is what you want for recoil control. It then lets your hand slide back into position unimpeded, which is what you want after a reload, when reaching for a pressure switch or laser, or while clearing a malfunction.
Mounting
The SST-P is secured by two 4-40 hex screws and hex nuts that lock down Driven Arms Co's tensioned-insert system, which is built for longstanding durability on a Picatinny rail.
Picatinny or M-LOK?
This is the Picatinny version, for quad rails and 1913 handguards.
Running an M-LOK handguard? The ShortStop M-LOK is the same handstop with an M-LOK interface.
Between a Handstop and a Foregrip
A minimal handstop gives you an index point but not much to push against. A foregrip gives you surface area but adds bulk and something to catch on gear.
The ShortStop sits between the two, at 0.5 oz.
