CORE 10.5" 300 Blackout Barrel, Pistol Gas
A chrome lined 4150 CrMoV barrel with a pistol length gas system and 1:7 twist, chambered in .300 AAC Blackout. The CORE line addresses weight distribution and balance while improving consistency through uniform heat dissipation.
The Taper Is the Point
Lights, lasers, and suppressors have become standard equipment, and every one of them hangs off the front of the rifle. That capability comes at the cost of weight, all of it in the worst place.
The CORE profile is a continuous taper that keeps the bulk of the barrel's mass near the chamber and thins toward the muzzle. The rifle balances closer to your body rather than pulling forward.
This is not a pencil barrel. The CORE is not trying to be the lightest thing available. It redistributes weight rather than removing it, and it still holds up to hard use.
Chamber and Rifling
The 1:7 twist stabilizes the heavy subsonic projectiles 300 Blackout is usually loaded with, and handles supersonic loads just as well.
Rifling is honed and hand lapped for bore uniformity, and the chamber is finely polished for reliable extraction. Chrome lining extends barrel life and adds corrosion resistance without giving up accuracy.
The gas port is tuned to run reliably suppressed or unsuppressed.
Which Length Do You Need?
The CORE is available in 300 Blackout in two lengths, both pistol gas with a 1:7 twist:
Building in 5.56 instead? The CORE comes in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist from 10.5 through 20 inches.
Note the 300 Blackout barrels use a 0.750 gas journal and 5/8x24 muzzle threads, where the .223 Wylde barrels use 0.625 and 1/2x28. Your gas block and muzzle device need to match.
