AR-15 Cam Pin
A cam pin for AR-15 bolt carrier groups, machined from heat treated 4140 steel. Available in phosphate or hard chrome.
The Engraved Spear
A standard cam pin gives you no reference for which way it went in. Reinstall it the other way around after a cleaning and the load moves to a different face.
The lasered spear points forward, so the pin goes back in the same orientation every time. Wear stays on the same surfaces rather than alternating across them.
Finish Options
Phosphate is the mil-spec finish. It holds lubricant in the surface texture, which is why it has been the standard on bolt carrier components for decades.
Hard chrome is harder, slicker, and more corrosion resistant. Carbon has less to grip, so cleaning takes less effort, and the lower friction surface reduces wear at the cam track.
