The Recommended Setup
This is the configuration Centurion recommends for use with their own barrels, and it works across most others. An H2 buffer with a carbine spring is a sensible middle ground for a 5.56 carbine, heavy enough to settle a normally gassed rifle without overcorrecting.
Nine Positions
A standard carbine tube gives you six stops across its length. This one gives nine across the same length, so the gaps between them are smaller.
That matters when the right length of pull falls between two standard detents, or when armor and layers change what fits.
The tube is Type III anodized with a dry film lube interior and rear drain holes. The Centurion logo is on the bottom.
