Will this fit my suppressor? Suppressor Mount Compatibility Chart
The Atlas-R is a lightweight and low profile silencer adapter that utilizes our Patent-Pending Castle-Lock™ Design, utilizing TDP Spec Castle Nut Notches for ease of installation and removal using common tools such as an Armorers Wrench or castle-nut wrench. Once installed, the Atlas-R can accept our RF Muzzle Devices, Rearden and other Plan B Compatible Muzzle Devices for a compact, lightweight suppressor mounting system.
The primary reason we created the Atlas-R was to create a compact, lightweight suppressor mount that also provides a way to apply precise torque values to HUB (1.375x24) suppressors with the ability to use a standard armorer’s wrench. While we see plenty of value in HUB suppressors and use them extensively ourselves, we also are aware that the end user plays a large role in the function and reliability of that system if not properly installed, so we came up with a user-friendly solution to reliably install the mount. Utilizing common armorer’s wrench notches allows you to apply accurate and consistent torque values to the suppressor with non-proprietary tools to ensure that when installed the system acts as close to an integral QD system as possible, while providing the modularity of utilizing your preference of mount and maintaining a compact form factor and light weight.
Features
Suppressor Mount
The Atlas-R, once properly installed into your silencer can accept a multitude of muzzle devices including our RF Muzzle Devices, Rearden and other Plan B Compatible Muzzle Devices. This suppressor mounting system utilizes a taper and threads to ensure a proper seal that is repeatable and reliable without adding unnecessary weight or length to the system. The taper requires about 20% more force to remove than to install.
Castle-Lock™
Patent Pending. The Castle-Lock System utilizes a combination of TDP Spec Castle Nut Notches along with (4) 1 5/16” wrench flats around the circumference give the end user the ability to apply accurate torque values during installation and the ability to utilize common tools for installation and removal. Underneath each wrench flat, we also incorporated a flat shoulder before the chamfered edge to allow for a solid lockup when using a crescent or crowfoot wrench on the Atlas-R.
Chamfered Edges
A design suggestion from our friend Roger Wang at Forward Controls Design, the Atlas-R features chamfered edges on both the circumference of the device along with on top of the notches portion to reduce/remove and snag points. This can also be helpful if you store your sling in a slightly forward position on your rifle.
Nitride Finish
The Nitriding process greatly increases the surface hardness of the muzzle device while lending itself to a tighter seal in the suppressor itself.
