The 6315RF (Revival Defense, Forward Controls) is a Closed-Tine, Closed-Bottom Flash Hider with a Plan B & Rearden Atlas Compatible Suppressor Mount threaded in 1/2x28. The RF series muzzle devices were designed in collaboration between Forward Controls Design and Revival Defense
ABOUT THE RF SERIES MUZZLE DEVICES
The RF (Revival Defense, Forward Controls) Muzzle Devices were designed to be compact, yet practical and effective standalone muzzle devices which also serve as a reliable suppressor mount that doesn’t add unnecessary weight or length to the front of your rifle.
Features
Flash Hider
When designing the 6315RF and 6310RF, our focus was making it as effective as possible with the allotted size to maintain compatibility with most suppressors. With the same overall length as the standard A2 Birdcage flash hider, in testing the 6315RF and 6310RF exhibit flash mitigation performance that is similar to the standard A2, while also doubling as a suppressor mount. (See photos of flash testing below).
Closed Tine & Closed Bottom
The 6315RF and 6310RF are Closed-Tine and Closed-Bottom Devices. The Closed-Tine aspect of the device aids in the overall strength, making it a much more rigid device overall while also preventing snag hazards in outdoor environments. The Closed-Bottom of the device serves a dual role of aiding in compensation, and reducing the dust signature when shooting prone or in an environment with loose debris, gravel, dust, etc. See the following article for a more in depth explanation on the case for closed bottom devices HERE
Plan B & Rearden Atlas Compatible Suppressor Mount
Our RF Series of Muzzle Devices feature a suppressor mount compatible with Rearden Atlas and Plan B Type Mounts. This suppressor mounting system utilizes a taper and threads to ensure a proper seal that is repeatable and reliable without adding unnecessary weight or length to the system.
Nitride Finish
The Nitriding process greatly increases the surface hardness of the muzzle device while lending itself to a tighter seal in the suppressor itself.
Standardized Wrench Flats
RF Series Muzzle Devices Feature 3/4” Wrench Flats for ease of installation. The FCD JMW, Armorers Wrench or any other 3/4" Wrench can be used for installation
Flash Testing
Flash Testing was conducted by: https://www.reloadingallday.com/
The Flash Testing was conducted with both the 6315RF and a Standard A2 Birdcage Flash hider which typically exhibits more than adequate flash mitigation. Three ammunition types were used on each device; Winchester 62g 5.56 Green Tip, S&B 55g 5.56, and Black Hills 77g OTM 5.56 on a 13.9" Criterion CORE Barrel

FAQ
Q: Is the 6315RF long enough to be Pinned and Welded?
Yes and No. Anything “can” be pinned and welded, but you would need an approximately ~15.1” barrel to comfortably bring this device over the 16” length that most folks are aiming to achieve with a pinned and welded device. So why is there a blind hole? The reason the blind hole is there is simply because it added no cost and virtually no additional time in the manufacturing process to add to the devices with no downsides in performance or durability while offering more options to our customers.
Q: Can I use the 6315RF on a 9mm?
NO. The 6315RF was designed around the 5.56/.223 cartridge and the bore will not fit a 9mm. Our friends over at Rearden Manufacturing offer muzzle devices in large bore variations that can safely fit a 9mm cartridge.
Q: What Suppressors can I use this with?
The options are virtually endless, as long as the suppressor features a “HUB” 1.375x24 threaded rear end, you can install our Atlas-R or Rearden Atlas and use the RF Muzzle devices. Fitment varies between silencers, so we put together this compatibility chart: https://www.revivaldefense.com/rdsmcc to make things a bit easier!
*Only use the wrench flats for installation of your muzzle device. Do not use a screwdriver or any other tool to apply torque through the ports. The FCD JMW is specifically designed for installation of suppressor mounts and available HERE
*Use on Q Cans will void your warranty
